If a water leak occurs on the customer's side of the water meter, the County will adjust the water bill as follows. The customer will be expected to pay his/her normal use amount plus fifty percent (50%) of the leak amount. The County will absorb the other fifty percent (50%) of the leak amount. If the said customer cannot pay all of the leak amount by the due date a payment plan may be set up for the customer. If a payment plan is established the customer will be expected to pay all of the current monthly bills plus the amount of the outstanding balance agreed upon by the County and the customer. Failure to pay this amount will result in disconnection of service. The County reserves the right to adjust the bill for water leaks in unusual circumstances. [top of page]
