The Buckingham County Sheriff's Office is a local law enforcement agency with a quality team of professionals who strive to ensure the safety of every citizen and person in Buckingham County. Sheriff W.G. "Billy" Kidd, Jr. and his staff, which includes deputies, dispatchers, investigators, and cooperating emergency personnel, strive to maintain a safe environment in the County at all times

Stanley Harris, Lieutenant

Stanley has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost thirty-four years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. He specializes in courtroom security and the civil process.

Dan Senger, Sergeant

Dan has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for twenty-six years. He has taken basic law enforcement courses and in-services. He is a supervisor in charge of all report records and court dates. He is a nationally recognized K9 instructor. He has lectured on courtroom testimonies and theory use. His specialty is K9.

 

Neal Morris, Deputy

Neal has been a deputy in the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for eight months. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy and has received school resource officer training.

Mike Gordon, Deputy

Mike has been a deputy in the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for six years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, the Defensive Tactics School, and the Tactical Training School. He is a General Instructor at the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. He also attended the Department of Corrections K-9 Detection School. He specializes in K-9 Narcotics and defensive tactics.

Jay has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for one year. Previously, he was employed with the Virginia Department of Corrections for nine years and attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

Chris Davis, Deputy

Chris has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost three years. Before becoming a deputy, he attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

Myron Gordon, Deputy

Myron has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost four years. He is a school resource officer, providing safety within the local public school system.

Erik Bryan, Deputy

Erik has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for two years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

Wallace Goode, Deputy

Wallace has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for thirteen years; three years as a dispatcher and ten as an officer. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, Dispatcher & VCIN and Deputy School. He also attended the First Line Supervisor School and an intoxalyzer school. He has been a school resource officer and a school resource officer trainer, and DARE instructor. He also has experience in advanced domestic violence and basic tactics training. He is a breathalyzer operator and specializes in fire arms, tactics, and grant writing.

Aaron has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost four years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, basic tactics school, FTO school, and eradication/spotter school. He is a tactical team officer and a field training officer.

Bo has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost four years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. He is a tactical team officer and a field training officer.

Glen has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for ten years. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy Dispatch School and VCIN School. He has training in public safety response to terrorism as well. He is a certified emergency communications officer.

Sandra has been with the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office for almost five years. She attended the Dispatch Training Academy and is VCIN/NCIC certified. She is also a certified General Instructor. She is a certified emergency communications operator.

Valerie has been a dispatcher for almost three years. She attended the VCIN and Dispatcher’s Academy and has received VCIN training. She is a certified emergency communications operator.

Sonny Grey, Communications Supervisor

Sonny has spent ten years in communications. He attended the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. He is VCIN certified, NACCS certified and is an EMT-P. He was formerly employed by MEDCOM, or Pegasus Flight Operations. He specializes in emergency communications.

E-911 Center

Recently, the County of Buckingham completed construction/renovation and moved into the newly renovated Buckingham County Courthouse. Approximately eight million dollars was spent on this renovation/addition. A state of the art E-911 center was constructed in the Sheriff's Office during this renovation. This center is equipped with state of the art technology to handle emergencies, disasters, and other situations. [top of page]

SAVIN (Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification)

SAVIN is a program that was secured through a federal grant to the VA Sheriff's Association. This program allows you to search state databases for persons who are currently being held in prison or jail and other offenders that are in the Virginia Department of Corrections.
