Water

The only water lines present in Buckingham County are owned and operated by the County. Water lines are present in the Town of Dillwyn, at the prisons, and on parts of Highways 20 and 60. Also, all public schools are on the water system, except Gold Hill Elementary School. For more information on the water system, click here.

Sewer

The only sewer lines present in Buckingham County are owned and operated by the County. Sewer lines are present in the Town of Dillwyn, at the prisons, and on parts of Highways 20 and 60. Telephone

Emparq, formerly known as Sprint, is a major telephone provider in Buckingham County and the surrounding area. There are three switch offices in the county and the nearest business and regional office is located in Farmville. There are a variety of other telephone providers in the area: Budget Phone, CCI, ITC, DeltaCom, and Reconex.

Electricity

Electricity providers include Dominion Virginia Power, REA, and Central Virginia Electric Cooperative. 

Gas

Currently, there are no gas lines in Buckingham.
