Peggy N. Johnson, the Clerk and Treasurer of the Dillwyn Town Council, was appointed July 19, 2002. She has been in this position for almost four years. As the Clerk, her duties are recording minutes, composing agendas, directing correspondence between Town officials and other County officials, managing the Town Council office, taking information requests from the public, and other tasks desired by the Council. As Treasurer, she handles all transactions of the Council, acts as Financial Director of the Town, and handles all financial tasks required of the Town.
